Reading coffee grounds, like any form of divination, uses your psychic abilities (and everyone has these abilities) to focus in and read for someone. This workshop will cover the reading procedures that are currently used in the Middle East with several variations.
After a brief lecture and coffee making, participants will read for each other. Whether or not you've done this before, you will be able to see and interpret symbols in the coffee grounds. This is not 'fortune-telling' but the grounds become a focal point to ascertain the sitter's past, present, and potential future. This workshop will be a great excuse to order Turkish coffee after dinner at your local fine dining restaurant. Turkish coffee is (strong, hot, and definitely NOT decaffeinated), Disclaimer: Divination can be considered entertainment and it is important not to make vital decisions based upon it.
Maxine has spent the last 20 years in the Middle East and is the proprietor of a bookstore/cafe . (And has been making and reading Turkish coffee for 20 years) She is a certified teacher having taught grade school to college as well as in the corporate sector. She first experienced Spiritualism in the Florida churches created by the 'snowbirds' of Camp Chesterfield and was a personal student of the Rev. Dr. June Bletzer, author of The Encyclopedic Psychic Dictionary. She continues to study mediumship at the Arthur Findlay College and www.SNUi.org where she is working toward Platform Certification. She holds a MLA from Harvard University and is a U.S. Army veteran.
